Peep is home!

Peep is back from his trip to St. Louis!

This my friends is what happens when Peeps are driven to drink…

OMFG It is DONE

HORRAY! The flower girl dress is complete….COMPLETE. I only took one photo, and not a good one at that. If you look close there are ugh so many problem areas. So so very many. Hopefully it will be ok though for its one shot down the aisle.
Flower Girl Dress

And today I did a faux bento lunch. :)

So sleepy

Yeah, I’m still tired and not used to the early morning carpool yet. Not much progress to report. Two seams done on the flower girl dress. It shall be a busy weekend.

I’ve been shopping for bento boxes. I may have mentioned it before, but I think they are way cute and it may be a good way to get myself excited about eating healthy.

I also have a pic of me in the one-skein wonder that lasandri made for me in the sew/knit swap but I have to upload it. That thing is so cool and I got loads of sompliments on it. I need to learn to knit so I can make them in lots of colors, some with longer sleeves, some with another round or so all around the edge.

Ugh and I think we have a flaker on the AC swap. Makes me want to cry.

Zzzzzz

Main fabric for the flower girl dress was cut out last night and part of the netting was cut tonight. I was way too sleepy to cut the rest of it. Cutting fabric for a formal occassion is not best done while tired!

I did however complete one of my projects for the Animal Crossing Swap. Horray! It did not turn out as well as I would have liked, but I still think it is cute.

And now…I shall go to sleep since I have to least the house by 7am to get the bus down to Coffee Buzz to meet the carpool. I wonder how long it would take to bike there…and if it would be worth it to get a new bike. The brakes on my old one are shot. How would I work the rolley laptop bag if I had a bike though??

Waa no Craftster most of the evening. Poor Leah has been having some DB issues. I can feel her pain since my job deals with a slew of servers that serve up online classrooms for tens of thousands of people. Ugh database problems are not fun! Especially when they prevent users from logging on. I wonder if she and her ISP could come up with some failover options on the backend database?? Hmmm….

Knit/Sew Swap

Here is what I sent for the Knit/Sew swap. The idea of the swap was to pair up those know Knit or Crochet with those who Sew (or someone who crochets with a knitter).

For craftykate I made three things: a 6-panel skirt, pj pants from my fav pattern, and a knitting tote. The skirt has a biad waistband and was self drafted from juniper’s tutorial over at Craftster. The bag was self drafted, inspired by my TLC Canvas tote. There is a pocket on the back with 2 sections, and each sode of the lining is a pocket. On the front I added a few buttons and embroidery to make a little little cheery. The jammy pants are flannel and from my fav pattern for them.

For lasandri I made a hoodie. I used the pattern from Burda in the January 2006 issue. The front insert gave me some problems so I wasn’t totally pleased with it. Meh am I ever pleased with how my things turn out? I also did a test in grey knit. The polka dot fabric is where I totally botched the insert and covered it up.
