Skirting around

I didn’t get a good shot of me in the skirt so I will have to ask B to help out later. Basically yesterday I decided I wanted a skirt. So off to Goodwill to look for a sheet. I found this one that is the same pattern we had at home when I was a kid. A kind craftster jogged my memory of which SewNews had the tiered skirt instuctions and wal-la skirt! Horray for the gathering foot on my serger.

The green is a patch for a cut the bottom got when I wasn’t watching the serger. Doh! I am going to doll it up with some stitching or something.

Zipper bags everywhere!

Issue #116 of Threads has an awesome and quick bag pattern by Debbie Valentine. Didn’t care for the ruffle so I didn’t do that part and now I am addicted.

IronMail teh sux

OMFG…so w get rid of the dead weight of IronMail from the student side and now the staff side had ANOTHER one go out. These things are the worst appliances ever to injure mankind with their existence. So now the knight in shining armor Trend is being installed so we can actually get some mailflow to our users. Bah! Makes me want to go home and lock myself in the craft room.

Shrugy-ness

Craftmart is going out of business so B and I rushed over there Saturday and spent a gob of money. I bought three skeins of TLC Amore yarn in different colors. With the sage\light olive green I made a shrug. I think I need another couple of rounds because I am not liking the gap between the shrug and my tank top. After that is done pictures shall be posted. Woot, I can crochet a rectangle!

New carpet & room new room..sort of
