Nice weather and weird events…

Okay so not so weird for normal people. I went to get the mail today and the neighbors said hello to me, got me name…and invited me to dinner next week. I’m a little freaked out…scratch that a lot freaked out. I know regular people have dinner with neighbors all the time but I’m shy and don’t even talk to my neighbors. Gah! Do I bring anything? I don’t really know them (they seem nice enough though) so I don’t want to bring wine since maybe they don’t drink…eeep.

Then later on I went out front to trim one of the bushes that is taller than I am and one of the neighbors across the street came over and talked to me. Well, I don’t know if she lives at the house or if the lady I see more of the time is the one that lives there and is the daughter of the lady who talked to me. The one who I think lives there has never talked to me but is always cleaning her house or her car (they were scrubbing the sidewalk before she came and talked to me).

So what is going on? The weather? My new windows? Do they think I am nuts for taking pictures of a doll in the front yard and are planning on having me committed? Have they noticed that a certain someone isn’t here very much anymore and feel sorry for me? LOL I think I’ve finally just lost my mind.

  • Hey Becca,

That’s really interesting and also sort of weird too. I don’t know, though, maybe they thought one day, “We should really get to know our neighbor better!” You’ll have to give an update, though! I’m very curious!

  • Hey Linda!

The worst part…when I went to get the mail I had been up all day working (didn’t plan on it but they called so that was all I did until mid afternoon) so I was still in my tank and gym capris from the night before…no bra. Once I left the house I noticed people were out! Ooops! By the time the lady across the street came by I had put on a sports bra. LOL!

  • Ha ha ha… That’s pretty funny. It’s definitely awkward to be caught wearing “indoor clothes” when outdoors with people you don’t know too well.

Well, hopefully they aren’t trying to get you to join a cult or get you into Amway or something. (No offense if you are into that kind of thing. It would just be uncomfortable if you weren’t into it and they wanted to sell you on it.)

  • *g* Linda that was my worry too! I don’t wanna join a scary cult or sell Amway!! LOL

Wow so I’ve got my first dolly meet (well me and one other person) on Wednesday then probably lunch next door Saturday. The 5K on Sunday…the week after I’m hosting Bunko and a friend is having a Pampered Chef party the week after that. So does this mean I have a life? Weird!
