Dolly Carry Bags in the TIB Shop

Great news! The carry bags made it to NY at lightning speed and Gina put them up in the TIB shop today. YAY

The first day of training was pretty good. Lots of good information and naturally free food. :P

There was an email today at work about our co-worker who passed on Saturday. I didn’t cry until I read the email…seeing it in print made it real. Up until then I kept telling myself it wasn’t true and he had many more years than just 24. But no, it is true. *sigh* I remember just a couple weeks ago being at happy hour and him trading seats with Emily since the sun was in her eyes. No more playing ‘ninja vanish’ with Julio by announcing ‘ninja vanish’ then ducking really quick below the cube wall. When I get home I am going to look and see if I ever got a photo of when he had a Pink Ribbon painted onto his mohawk.

Updates Updates!

I am writing from a hotel in Peach Tree City, Georgia. I am in a training academy this week for Exchange 2007 (email server technology). I am really excited about the training as I am trying to get back my ‘techie smarts’ after that dismal failure in management. You live and learn huh.

I shipped out the ‘big order’ on Saturday. Woo Hoo! The bags should list on the This Is Blythe store soon. I am beyond thrilled that Gina gave me the opportunity to have some of my bags in her shop. I am going to be busy at making bags for the Etsy shop when I get home.

All four of my Blythe girls are with me here in Georgia. “On a business trip??” you may be asking. Yeppers. After the academy I am going to get to hang out with Linda and her girls as well as attend a Blythe meet in Atlanta! I am so stoked!!!!

On a down note though we found out Saturday morning that a friend and co-worked passed away. I don’t know much about what happened yet. Some of the work gang had a sort of wake for him at his favorite watering hole last night but I didn’t go because a) I wasn’t nearly ready for this trip (I wound up getting an hour of sleep before the shuttle came at 4:25am) and b) I never know what to say. I am the type usually that is just quiet and a bit akward. On the positive side, there are many of us at work that really come through for each other in times of need and that is very special. But gosh the past couple of years those ‘times of need’ have came much too often.

::EDIT:: I also finally got my Ravelry invite, I am SewPixie over there. One thing I have learned so far is that I have at least 6 G size crochet hooks. G is totally my favorite.

Ravelry here I come…eventually

Okay so I am dumb and have no idea how to make a print-screen from a Mac so I can’t show you now, but I put my name on the list for Ravelry just now. There are 6,405 people ahead of me in line. :)

Other than that I need to blog about the Blythe meet this past weekend in Tucson, my progress on “Operation Wholesale Order”, work, knitting class, house cleaning, and kitties who sneak out of the house!

Busy busy busy

This week has been really busy at work so I have had a hard time keeping up with with online pals and housework!

Candace got a good idea to take knitting lessons so we signed up for two sessions at the local JoAnns. I have some needles and have made a scarf but that is about it so I am really excited. The bamboo yarn I picked up for class is so freaking soft!

Other than that I have been working on “Operation Wholesale Order” as well as getting some bags done for the Etsy shop plus goodies for a couple of swaps I am in.

This month is going to be crazy busy so I need to get organized!!!!! I’ve got some big project due at work, Blythe Meet in Tuscon, Knitting Class, Machine Quilting Class, Shipping out the ‘big order’ and getting ready for Georgia!
