Day One…
Okay so I bet someone at work that I would give up soda for 60 days. Let’s see how long I last without going kookoo shall we?
In other news, a friend is having a double mastecomy on Friday so Candace and I are busy knitting her boobs.

Item one…finish bag for Ravelympics! I just now picked up stitches for the first side so I am a bit behind. Aieeee! I need work on it a bunch on Saturday. That and clean house since I have been sadly remiss with that once again. No matter how many times you ask them to, cats will rarely if even clean your house for you. They won’t clean the yard either but I finally got people to come do that. I tell ya, it is hard as crap to get yard work people to show up! This company has been great so far so cross your fingers that they will keep showing up for the monthly service I contracted with them.
Item two…well I don’t have an item two…hmm. Oh I know! I bought a Roku so now I can watch my NetFlix ‘Watch Instantly’ queue on my tv so that is pretty awesome. Did that sound cool or a little sad?
Other than that I have been working, attempting to walk more so I can shed some weight and am very near to getting paperwork done to be free. FREE I tell you! What I will do after I am free is unknown at this time, there aren’t exactly any prospects out there. I haven’t spent this much time single since I was about 14 so I’m getting a little stir crazy. The goal is to also shed the feelings for being too old and past my expiration date. So yes, for those who know me, the goal is to totally rewire my brain. LOL! I am pretty sure that the real world isn’t like Coupling but wouldn’t it be sweet that there was a Patrick out there to go with my Sally like antics?
And I have an iPhone! Yeppers. My awesomesauce boss got it and though it took me a bit to get used to it I am really liking it. My whole iTunes library is on it which is something I could not do with my tiny Nano. And I have a ton of audio files for Exchange 2007 stuff so I can absorb work knowledge which is sweet. The whole wide world of podcasts finally opened up to me. I’ve been catching up on a knitting podcast (no that isn’t a typo) called Cast On. Great fun! Oh and speaking of knitting I am going to Stitch n Pitch on Sunday so goodtimes should be had by most then.
Okay so after much debating, I joined Ravelympics at the last minute. The deal is that you start your project during opening ceremonies of the Olympics (5am my time!!) and then finish by the closing ceremonies. I decided to use the yarn I bought for another Mystery Bag\Sampler Bag.
So since I am really bad at waking up early I may cast on at 5am then promptly go back to sleep.
Speaking of waking up….Pixel (my cat) understand English. I swear! When I came back from Indiana but was still on vacation he was waking me up at around 8am. By ‘wake me up’ I mean that he meows and paws at me until I get up and give him wet food. Sunday night I tell him that I have to go to work in the morning so I need to be up by 6:45-7am. He starts waking me up at 6:30am. The same thing Tuesday morning. Tuesday night I went to bed really late so I told him I was going to sleep in and not get up until 7:30. He starts at 7:15. I am not kidding! Then last night I tell him that my carpool ride is going to the gym at lunch so I have to get up earlier like 6:30-6:45. Yes, he started waking me up at 6:15am! So either his internal clock is 15 minutes off or he knows me well enough to guess that I will want a snooze. Hehehe!
Okay, I really got back on Wednesday but I don’t go back to work until tomorrow. I need to blog later with all the details but all in all I had a great time. I got to have dinner with Jen and Karen which was awesome! I also spent a lot of time with my sister and her family. My nieces and nephew are so cute! Three little smarties..I couldn’t be prouder.
I finished up the week by laying about very lazily on Thursday and going to TYF on Friday. There are some really scary holes on Apache Blvd that about knocked me off my scooter!! I assume they are from the light rail construction as they were partially covered by metal plates. I really freaked out when I hit the first one and I tried to avoid the second one but couldn’t. Thankfully I did not go flying off the scooter. I really need to get onto four wheels. But with some potential financial crapola that may be a while.
Saturday was pretty boring, grocery shopping and some knitting. Got he sewing room cleaned up today and listed a couple of new bags in the shop. I also finished one more for Betsy so only 3 more to make for her.
