When old becomes new again…

Greetings world. Yes, yes I have been a bad blogger once again but eh it happens. For a while there I pretty much dropped off the face of the Internet (or intertubes or interwebs). I dunno what the deal was. Perhaps just a lot of the things going on just hitting home at once. For those few of you who read and have known me for a long long time may remember some of my more annoying quirks of feeling everyone hated me, yadda yadda. I had so thought those days were over but I yet again found myself feeling like I has 15 again and all that silly stuff in my head. *eye roll*. I think I am a bit past that but it is on the to-do list to figure out just what the heck is up with that. I cannot begin to imagine how annoying it is to deal with me when I am like that. Most sincere appologies to those who have had to do it! You know who you are. :)

So enough about that old stuff that became new again and on to more. Those who have known me for a good deal of time also used to know me by a different last name. Well, in the coming months I will once again wear that name. I think new Moo cards in order! Not sure if I should move Etsy shops though. You can’t change your Etsy name so it would mean setting up a new shop with new feedback. What do you think? It isn’t that I will cringe and feel ill when seeing the name I had for nearly a decade. It is more that I want to in some ways start fresh and in others return to pieces of me that have been hiding for a while yet I think they were good things that should come out again. So, new Etsy shop of just leave it with the old name??

In other news…

  • I am all in favor of your new name. You go girl! Ever consider going back to “RJ”??? :-) Wait, let’s see. Even better. I was Blanche Poppycock. What was your hillbilly name? LOL!!!!

  • Jen you have such an awesome memory!! LOL I don’t remember what my hillbilly name was…then again with a nickname like ‘Becky Jo’ maybe I didn’t need one. :) I do use an ‘Rj’ signature on stuff. heehee.

  • OMG! I thought I was the only who felt everyone hated me! Obviously, this is a genetic thing. It keep thinking back to my favorite line in “Pretty Woman” – when Richard Gere tells Julia Roberts she has many wonderful qualities and she says, “It’s easier to remember the bad stuff.” So me. Now, if only I looked like Julia (and had a tiny bit of her $ and earning potential! LOL).

And if I remember correctly, you didn’t want us to call you RJ because that was the name of the dog that lived behind us.

  • No sister dear you called me BJ which I thought was cool until I realized that the dog that lived behind us was BJ. Hehehe. Then I was ‘Becky’ despite trying to re nickname myself to RJ or oh gosh Deana may remember my trying to be ‘Riva’ (hey it was in the baby name book under Rebecca). Yeah that didn’t work. Brian Ho was the one that got Becca to stick if I recall.

Hee Kathy remember when Danny tried to call me in college and my housemate didn’t know I was the Becky that was being asked for? You had to call back and ask for Becca.

  • OK, so this shows I’ve been around Greg for too long because BJ would’ve been a terrible nickname in middle school or high school. You know how mature (ha!) we are when we were teens.

I’m still immature, right? Seriously, this weekend, I did a craft show and this couple walked up. The wife bought something and apologized for paying with so many one dollar bills. The husband goes, “Well, that’s what happens when you’re a stripper.” The wife almost died (since she obviously was not a lady of ill repute). But Greg, of course, was like “High five, man!”

Not sure what to do about the Etsy store thing… :P What if your store announcement thingy mentions that your past feedback is with the other store and provide a link?

Anyway, glad you’re back in the blogosphere. Now, I just have to get my own butt back in there too. I have so much I need to catch up on, but have sadly been occupied with non-fun crap. Blegh.

  • Bwahaha Linda! Does Greg have any single friends in Arizona? I’d relocate but with the crap economy no way I’d get rid of my house. Hehehehe

  • Don’t worry about the economy – no matter who we elect as president has promised to turn everything around. I’m sure by your birthday we’ll have a new car in every garage, a chicken in every pot and everyone will have a Paco to water the backyard money tree.

Wasn’t Riva the name of some soap opera character?
