Yes I’m still here!

I keep meaning to blog, but then my mind wanders elsewhere. Then, I decide to blog but I am here at work and as such cannot insert my Flickr pictures.

Things I need to blog about and show pictures of:
* Hiking in Los Angeles (I neglected to take any other photos of the weekend trip)
* Visiting Alpacas in Gilbert
* My knitting and related insane spending
* Upcoming trips and travels

So there is my ‘to do’ list.

I have been working on more Blythe Dolly Carry Bags for the shops. I’ve been a tad ‘woe is me’ (seriously, I’ve been alone in the house for far too long and I think I’m going nuts) again so that went a bit slower than expected. There are about 40 in the works so hopefully there will be a nice and steady stream. For those going to Blythe Con I won’t be there as a vendor as I’m far too excited about meeting people and don’t want to be all shy and stuck at a table.

And for those of you wondering why I am blogging from work, really I am working I promise. It’s just there is a process running so rather than lose my train of thought on that I’m in another window writing this. :)

Let’s see, what else…

I have been working some more on cleaning the house. I’m a terrible pack rat you see, so there is stuff everywhere! Over the past couple of years since I’ve been alone I have organized more and slowly it is getting better. Another piece of furniture in the living room was eliminated this weekend. It is one of those shelf units for stereo components that I just had candles and photos on. Well, I put all that stuff in other places and put the shelving thing in the garage. Now just to figure out what the 3rd bedroom should be. Guest room? Office? Dolly & litter box room (its current state)? Closet? Emptied out? Ideas and design suggestions always welcome, for reals, I’m hopeless it seems at putting things together sometimes.

Working through the to-do list

I’m loading up my plate again so that may or may not be a good thing. I have the feeling that it is about time for a to do list and an assessment of priorities. From time to time I need to sit down and really focus on what I need to get done, and in what order. And answer questions like: why do I need to do this thing? is this important to me to get this done? realistically when do I have to get this done? I’m one of those people who try and do everything all at once then beat myself up for being lazy and not getting it done. Gotta take stock of what is really important to me and learn that it is a-ok to let the other stuff slip sometimes.

Still do do are some custom bags for a fantabulous person, clean the house, do laundry, work out a bunch, buy groceries, finish a pair of socks, bind a quilt, buy new dressers at Ikea, paint my room, finish the painting in the hallway, do my taxes, get the backyard landscaped, get the boys a vet appointment…eeps!

Oh wait, I have a blog don’t I

I’ve been sucked into Facebook land and once again neglecting my blog. Doh! It’s been good though, being back in touch with some people has brought me buckets o happiness.

Let’s see, not a whole lot is new. I am still slowing working on ‘operation clean the entire house and get rid of all the crap’. Looking at some old pictures of the mess that was the dining room shows me that I have indeed made progress. No update on the official-ness of my single-ness. Ugh! I want it now so I can go change my name on everything. 2009 is working out to be so good so far so I want to keep that momentum going!!!

The shop is doing well. I’ve went with Regular, Ultra, and Deluxe to denote the bags that are pre-quilted, pre-quilted and a layer of fabric, and quilted by me. I am hoping it will help people understand the price difference. Each step up adds more labor and also more yardage needed so I think people will understand. I also finished a pattern for cute little raglan sleeved nightgowns so those are in the shop too.

Today was not not only inauguration day (WAAAHOOO!!!) but also Candace’s birthday. This weekend to celebrate she and I and Devon are headed to Vegas Baby! It should be a super fun trip that will also include a Blythe meet.

Speaking of Blythe meets, we had on on Saturday. It was just me, Candace, Devon, and Sylvie but we still had a good time. Since people tend to not show up when it is any amount of distance from us we may as well keep having them close to home. :P
